Where: East side of the Hualapai Mountains.  Lat: 35.10917, Long: -113.81083

Travel Conditions: Dirt road that can be traversed by a 2WD vehicle off D.W. Ranch Road.

Operation Dates:  Unknown

Description:  An old water tank, mill footings, and tunnel are present t the site.  Little information other than gold and silver were mined here is available.  The mine tunnel has a deep cut out at the entrance preventing entry into the mine.

What you will see today:  Upon approaching the mine location you will see a large tank on the hill.  Just behind the tank against the hillside is evidence of a collapsed building as there is old wood lying on the ground.  Not a place to walk around as there are many exposed rusty nails.  A tunnel leads into a hillside on the North side of the tank but has a large hole cutout at the entrance preventing any entry into the mine.

There is a water tank still standing along with a telephone pole and old electrical box indicating power was available at the location at some time.

There are some old foundations in the trees on the hillside indicating some sort of processing plant at the location.  Other than concrete footers for the mill there i sno structures standing,

Comments:

Mohave County Miner, JAN. 15, 1937:

The Telluride Chief mine in the Hualapai mountains was also closed down temporarily because of snows. Other properties all through the higher altitudes have likewise been retarded in their operations.

Minerals Mined: Gold and Silver were major minerals mined with Tungsten and Molybdenum being secondary.
