Description:have not found much in my research for this mine location on the internet to date.  I am continuing to research this location to add to the web site.  From mindat.org, I have learned this was a former Gold, Silver, Zinc, Lead, and Copper Mine located South East of Chloride.  There are other old mines in the area including the Copper Age, and Jupiter Mines also included on this web page.

There is a video on youtube from Frank at: Exploring Abandoned Mines in CA, NV, and AZ at this location.  The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WUm5lJOeJI

What you will see today:  It is a short hike from the dirt road to the Uncle Abe Mine on the hillside.  The ore transfer bin can be seen from the road with a two cable towers for transporting ore across the hillside still standing,  The top photo reflects the view along the old cable towers toward the town of Chloride in the distance.  The wooden structure outside the mine tunnel is collapsed from age but still very interesting to see the structure and imagine it during its days of the early miner. The tunnel to the mine is covered with rubble and unaccessible to today's explorer.

Comments:  There are several old mines around Chloride and in the Cerbat mountains providing a portal to past.  This is one of the mines reflecting the hard labor from the ghost of the past.  Sitting on the hillside looking at the workings and view across the valley, it is easy to imagine the early day miner looking forward to the paycheck for his hard work and dreaming of striking it rich.
